Get What You Want in Life

I Don't Believe in Myself

by Michael Robinson

Believing in Yourself Takes Time

Believing in yourself isn't easy to maintain.

And that's because there are many things that you deal with on a daily basis that challenge the beliefs that you already have.

The media.

Your friends.

Your family.

And your own behavior can all contradict with your beliefs.

Another reason you may not believe in yourself is that you may not feel well equipped with the ability or the knowledge you know you need to get what you want.

How Are Your Beliefs Serving You?

Regardless of what you're truly capable of, the beliefs you hold of your capability is what's real.

What you believe to be real will show through your efforts.

You may be awesome but if you feel that you're not, minimal efforts is what you'll produce. As a result, the little results you'll see will strengthen your belief of not being awesome.

7 Beliefs That Are
Holding You Back

1. "You're good at that stuff, because you're smart."

Everything is learned. No one is born with knowledge—just instinct. Some people learn faster than others. Learn it and use it.

2. "This is the way things are."

Nothing is set in stone. The best belief to have is no belief. Be flexible and open minded. Things change over time.

3. "Its best if I do this tomorrow."

You don't know how you will feel tomorrow. Its easy to put stuff off for another day. And there's a very good chance you won't want to do it tomorrow, so do it today.

Will tomorrow ever come?

4. "Ugh, I don't want to go to school for 5 years."

The time will pass anyway.

5. "I don't have the time."

See I don't have the time.

6. "Well... That's it. Its over; I have kids."

Life just begun.

7. You take the opinions of others as the truth.

See for yourself. You decide if its true or not.

How to Believe in Yourself

Remember this cycle:

Belief ...> Action ...> Idea of Potential ...> Results ...and back to Belief again.

Results is the last one.

If your results are low, your belief will weaken and this will cause potential output to be low. This can be a never-ending downwards spiral.

Keep your results high, so you can continue to believe in your efforts.

How?

Don't aim too high.

Keep it achievable.

Do This ONE THING to Challenge
Your Limiting Beliefs

Ask yourself:

"Is my limiting belief true? Is there any evidence in life that says its not true?"

Overcome Self Sabotage!

Below are common challenges that get in the way. Although they're common, they're not friendly. These challenges can last a lifetime.

Overcoming these challenges can remove years of stress and worry from your life, and get you the results you want in life.

What's in your way?

Becoming the best version of yourself becomes much easier once you become clear on who you want to be, and have a better understanding of why you do the things you do and don't do.

And overcoming self-sabotage becomes easier once you recognize what's holding you back.
